We proudly enter the 2024-25 school year with a dual accreditation by CARF and NYSAIS.

������Ƶ’s Counseling Center has been awarded CARF International’s highest level of accreditation. Founded in 1966, CARF International has established itself as a premier independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services. CARF’s mission centers on “enhancing the lives of persons served” through a consultative process and continuous improvement model that promotes quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services.  

As a day-only therapeutic independent school, ������Ƶ’s CARF accreditation is unique. It is also a reminder of how the strength and scope of our Counseling Center and our status as a Mental Health Connector distinguishes ������Ƶ from other college-preparatory NYSAIS-accredited schools.  We are now excited to build from our initial CARF accreditation process.  Among other efforts, Dr. Sara Mollins took on the role of DBT Coordinator and is focused on advancing our professional development and the day-to-day implications of being a DBT-informed school.

While CARF accreditation recognizes our clinical focus, we are also pleased to announce that ������Ƶ renewed accreditation by the New York State Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS), recognizing our ongoing commitment to academic excellence. ������Ƶ has held NYSAIS accreditation since 1979; however, the process of maintaining NYSAIS accreditation represents the culmination of in-depth self-study that includes an exhaustive internal and external examination of all aspects of the school community. 

The dual accreditation by CARF and NYSAIS wholly aligns with������Ƶ's long history of dual attention to emotional and academic growth.  It marks a major achievement within our strategic plan, and we are excited to continue strengthening ������Ƶ as a member of both networks.
